Curtis does some radio advertising and Glen Beck does a few of his ads/ kind of an endorsement. Glen Beck was doing a show in town "Unelectable 2" The radio station gave us tickets and we also were able to do a meet and greet with Glen. I honestly wasn't expecting much. These meet and Greets are usually nothing more than a handshake and a picture...and they rush you on your way. I have heard that Glen was different, Curtis had met him before. Curtis said he is so warm and genuine. He Honestly tries to spend time and get to know his fans. The Meet and Greet were scheduled right before a show and there was a room full of people, so whatever. We would just have fun and enjoy the experience, but not expect much.
Glen comes out and says hello to the group and asks if anyone has any questions. A few people did, and I was surprised that they were intelligent thought-out questions. Then I realized if you are a Glen Beck fan you probably watch the news and are up on current events etc. Then they have us line up to get our picture taken with him. People are showing him pictures of things, and having him sign things. He doesn't seem to be rushing the people on.
While we are waiting we are talking about how Curtis' Mom (Shauna) is such a huge Glen Beck Fan, she never misses his shows, etc. Curtis decides that he is going to ask Glen to call his Mom. We get up there, shake hands, and get our picture taken, then Curtis tells Glen that his mom is a huge fan and asks if he will call his Mom for him. Glen was so nice without hesitation said "Sure... let me talk to everyone in line, then I will" He finished we step out to the stairwell with Glen and he does kind of a prank call and tells Shauna that her son has been arrested, etc. then he tells her it's Glen Beck, etc. SHE LOVED IT. She was just giddy over it and played the little video clip of him calling her on the other end to all her friends.
The show ended up being really good as well. Fun night.
